The brief

Produce an official fan guide for BattleBots, the popular robot-combat series that has aired on Comedy Central, ABC, and Discovery Channel. The brand wanted to give fans deeper access to the world behind the competition, translating the show’s technical complexity and high-stakes drama into a compelling content experience and keepsake product.

My role

I immersed myself in the brand’s archive of assets, stats, and history to write a comprehensive behind-the-scenes resource for fans: BattleBots: The Official Guide. It was a blast translating the visceral excitement of robot combat into text, capturing the engineering ingenuity and competitive drama that makes the show such a hit.
